After attempting Cuddy Mountain with partial success I looped down 95 and took 71 to Mill Creek Road. From there is was about 4 miles to the checkpoint. The road was well grated, but mostly packed dirt which was suprisingly slippery in places. I made it just fine on Loraine (2005 R1200GS) but took it slow. It had rained earlier so the road was wet, and my front tire developed a mind of it's own, thus the slow pace. I didn't make it until 10:42 PM and by then it was pitch dark, so I didn't see the tree or whatever the attraction was. If I had more light I would have taken Cow Camp road south from the checkpoint down to where it meets up with 71, but it was dark and I still needed to ride all the way back to Boise. This ride was an easy 2, and perfectly doable on the big bike.
