Pics from the "easy" overnighter ride
Things started off with a little confusion as to meeting times, and when we arrived at WallyWorld Werty was surrounded by Harley riders and being a bad example of brightly colored textile amidst a sea of black leather…but that’s another story.
Our story picks up on Swan Falls road where we meet up with the rest of the group…

Since I haven’t figured out the "ride-and-shoot" method of picture taking yet, let me just fast forward to the slight detour made to see the big ditch…

And, as previoously posted, ADV’ers caught in the act of abusing our natural resources…

After much picture taking , we go onward. 50 miles of fast gravel and pavement later, we arrive at our destination. The wind is howling along the top of the cliff, so we elect to pack all our stuff down to the river to camp. This turns out to be a stellar idea, as the rest of the evening was fabulous.
Setting up camp at the bottom of the cliff…

Werty and RWC attempting to set up the chinese Deathtrap chair…"now where does this leg go again?"

Later in the evening RWC was a victim of a cleverly disguised KTM trap, no doubt left behind by disgruntled BMW abusers, when he dropped into a ditch full of tumbleweeds that caused his bike to come to an abrupt halt while he kept going. ATTGATT works! This could have been a LOT worse!

Home sweet home on the Bruneau river…

After much fireside chat (read BS) and the consumption of many types of warming beverages, all was well with the world and we turned in to sleep like logs…
Next morning things were a little frosty in the old camp, but the moon was still shining…

Werty does a hot breakfast. M-m-m-m Chicken lips!

Boise Mike prefers coffee. Idaho Scout agrees….

Did I mention it was cold and frosty? Some people think that’s a perfect time to go swimming. We wonder if RWC damaged more than just his nose last night…

At last, Ryan is dried off, the gear is packed back up that @#$5! Steep trail to the top of the cliff, and loaded back on the bikes…

And we all head off in different directions. Some toward Boise, some out for more single track, and I cruise up hwy 78 on this gorgeous morning with a huge smile in my helmet. What a great time! Spring is now officially here.
